MLB Law Firm, LLC operates the law practice known publicly as the Law Offices of Michael L. Brown, Jr., also referred to as MLB Law. Both names refer to the same business, located at 403 E. White Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to MLB Law Firm, LLC.

Information you give us directly. When you contact us through a form on this website, through the chat widget, by email, or by phone, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and any details you choose to share about your situation.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect limited technical information when you visit, including IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. We use this to keep the site secure and working properly.
Please do not send confidential or time sensitive information through this website before we have confirmed that we can represent you. See Section 9.

3. SMS AND TEXT MESSAGING
By entering your phone number in the chat widget on this website, you authorize MLB Law Firm, LLC to send text messages to and to call the number you provide, including promotional messages, possibly using automated means.
Messages may include information about our services, offers and events, together with consultation scheduling and confirmations, court date and appointment reminders, requests for documents we need for an active matter, and replies to questions you send us.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. After you reply STOP you will receive one confirmation message and no further messages. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at (803) 328-8822 or notguilty@mlblaw.com.
Consent is not a condition of purchase and is not a condition of legal representation.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
4. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We share personal information only in these limited situations:
Service providers. We use a small number of vendors to operate our practice, such as our website host, our client communication platform, and our case management software. They process information on our behalf only to provide those services to us, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Legal and professional obligations. We may disclose information where required by law, by court order, or by the rules of professional conduct that govern attorneys in South Carolina, or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
At your direction. We share information with others, such as a court, opposing counsel, or an insurer, when you ask us to or when doing so is part of the representation you have engaged us for.
We do not share your information with advertisers, affiliates, marketing partners, or lead buyers. We do not participate in any lead sharing or lead selling arrangement.

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. YOUR CHOICES
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You can ask us to stop contacting you by email or phone by telling us so. You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, using the contact details in Section 12. Some information must be retained where the law or our professional obligations require it.
9. NO ATTORNEY CLIENT RELATIONSHIP THROUGH THIS WEBSITE
Contacting us through this website, including through a form, the chat widget, or email, does not create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship is formed only after we complete a conflicts check and both sides sign a written engagement agreement. Information you send before that point may not be treated as confidential or privileged, so please do not send sensitive details until we have confirmed that we can represent you.
10. CHILDREN
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Changes take effect when they are posted on this page.
